Science for long lives and strong minds
Identifying the drivers of dementia risk and the pathways to resilience

What Drives Us
We work toward understanding the risk factors that shape brain aging, including what drives biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease and neurodegeneration in populations that have long been understudied, so that everyone has the opportunity to age with a healthy mind and live their fullest life.
We are guided by the following principles, because advancing brain health requires both scientific rigor and collective effort:

Innovation
We pursue bold questions and novel approaches to understand the mechanisms of dementia risk and resilience across cultures.
Collaboration
Complex problems demand collective expertise. We build partnerships across institutions, disciplines, and communities to accelerate discovery and amplify impact.
Diversity
We believe that inclusive science leads to better science. We value diverse perspectives, lived experiences, and research participation to ensure that advances in brain health benefit all communities.
Curiosity
We are driven by deep intellectual curiosity, constantly asking how, why, and what if to uncover the factors that shape brain aging across the lifespan.
Community
We engage with and learn from the communities we serve. Our work is grounded in the goal of improving real lives, not just advancing knowledge.
